I grabbed the wrong toothbrush when brushing my teeth on Friday. That simple mistake cost me a fortune (figuratively speaking, of course). Bristles from that particular toothbrush were loose and many detached during the course of the brushing. By the time I realized what was going on, many had become lodged in my throat.
I tried my best to flush them out, but to no avail. Some remained deeply lodged as I headed off to bed. The feeling reminded me of accidentally swallowing tiny fish bones from the saba mackerel. However, having toothbrush bristles lodged felt more ominous. Call Tim paranoid, but methinks calcium is easier to dissolve compared to plastic.
The next day, things felt a little better. The poking feeling from the bristles was still present, but much lessened. After four days, the feeling was almost gone; it could only be felt when my throat was empty.
As for whose toothbrush did I accidentally grab, it’s hard to say. Dad and brother both use electric toothbrushes, so it’s safe to say it’s not their regular utensil. Mom has the excuse of only brushing her teeth in the master bedroom bathroom. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s main purpose was scrubbing sinks and toilets. (If that were true, it would be even more horrifying what I had put in my mouth, but it would also explain why so many bristles were loose.)
