Removing the Logitech laptop stand from my desk was a good move. It made things look a helluva lot cleaner and gave me enough space to place my Samson Q2U microphone on my desk.
Moving things around made me realize that I’ve been neglecting my Samson. After using the Samson in my Google stand-up meeting on Friday, I’ve decided to integrate it more heavily into my day-to-day life. I bought a $17 InnoGear Microphone Arm (aka the #1 best seller that was also on sale) which arrived on Saturday.
The stand was easy to assemble and easy to attach to the side of my desk. It is difficult to remove the microphone from its holder (for times I want to use it for recording music in the living room), but that shouldn’t be a biggie.
On a related note, my parents have gone crazy with cleaning lately. On Tuesday, I was instructed to clear away everything on top of our Steinway grand piano. That task was more difficult than I imagined because: 1. there were so many things and 2. it was hard to decide whether or not to keep some items.
PS: some of the things I was tempted to keep = November 2018 Rolling Stones w/Zoe Kravitz cover, 13” MacBook privacy screen, Dad’s old mail addressed to our house in Sunnyvale
