Got around to giving IHOP 3pm to 9pm Happy Hour a try. The menu was limited, so it wasn’t as exciting as I imagined; there were simply no Belgian waffles anywhere to be found, though there were two items with pancakes.
Anyway, I went for the default option: a $6 plate of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 toasts and 1 hash brown. It’s a meal easily made at home, but I wasn’t too disappointed. The crispy nature of most of the items felt great and the childish side of me had fun sprinkling maple syrup over my entire plate.
Would I go again? Likely not, unless I come up with a sudden urge for pancakes. What I ate could definitely be classified as fast food. I wouldn’t blink an eye if I saw the same meal at McDonald’s or Burger King. Glad I didn’t use it as a meeting spot with friends, many of whom are picky + judgmental diners.
PS: the prices also match fast food, but if I want to spoil my body with oily (but tasty) junk from the Orchard Farms Plaza, I’ll ask Cicero’s.
