Three pizza coupons arrived recently via Money Mailer: one for Pizza My Heart, one for Legends, one for Round Table. These coupons reinvigorated my pizza craving that began on New Year’s Eve. After a Mission Peak hike that day, my dad and I were originally going to grab pizza, but we ended up eating soup dumplings instead. The soup dumplings (from Yummy Yummy Bao) were a blast, but I couldn’t help but feel like I’d missed out a little.
Over the weekend, I scouted out the options available. Round Table was ruled out immediately because it was too far on foot. Despite not providing a coupon, Cicero’s next to Safeway was added to the list of possibilities because it was so close.
In the end, I went for Legends Pizza. I ordered their lunch combo special (aka a deal available only on weekdays, 11am to 3pm) and got two slices: one Hawaiian and one pepperoni. (The healthy salad side was no longer being provided due to COVID-19.) Including tax, the total cost of the meal was $11.20.
I can safely say that I had a good time eating at the Legends. Two oily slices was a bit on the heavy side, especially when combined with the unlimited refill Pepsi fountain soda provided. Next time, I will probably go for their single slice $4.25 option and combine it with a bottled drink from Marukai or Daiso. Anyhow, I’m good for the time being when it comes to pizza. However, I will still keep the other coupons around, just in case my craving suddenly returns.
