Here are my new running rules.
Types of runs allowed each day (no mixing + matching):
- Long run = 120% distance, 120% credit
- Medium run = 100% distance, 100% credit
- Short run = 60% distance; single = 30% credit, double = 100% credit
- Weekly Goal = 320% total credit
Other parameters:
- Single short runs need 5 hours rest; medium runs need 1-night’s rest; all other runs need a full day’s rest
- Medium runs and single short runs can be done two days in a row
- Preferably one rest day between runs, maximum of two consecutive rest days
- Go for at least one long run or two consecutive medium runs each week
My running base distance is 3.75km.
