Testing out Trader Joe’s Instant Coffee packet last Thursday might have caused me to overdose on caffeine. It’s hard to find out exactly how much is in one packet. The store manager at Bollinger seemed baffled and so did Google. Anyhow, I assumed it would be similar to that of one shot of Starbucks: ~75mg.

With that in mind, I allowed myself +38mg later in the day with a can of Pepsi.

Together, the two kept me wide awake. Considering the activities I did that Thursday (go on two 1.5mi runs, stare at annoying code for hours, walk 15694 steps, eat too much fiber, drink too much liquid, etc.), I probably should’ve taken naps. Physical muscle fatigue likely progressed into mental fatigue and could’ve been what caused me to go slightly cuckoo near the end.

PS: I survived a full bottle of Monster (aka 160mg) during Chinese New Year. That looks like my upper limit so my guess is TJ’s = ~150mg.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
