Following my brother Chris’s recommendation, I swung by the Rio Adobe cafe and ordered the Del Mar Fish Burrito. Many parts of that visit were eerily similar to my dine-in at Cicero’s last month:
- Mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall restaurant: a single middle-aged Mexican man running the register, acting as the food waiter, and cleaning up tables
- Cheap prices: the fish burrito cost $11.50 before tax + tip
- Very busy: when I arrived, the place was overflowing with Apple employees
- Longer wait: took 16min for my order to arrive
- Good food: portions were large and burrito was yummy
PS: couldn’t help but notice that many of the other diners were wasteful; many of the plates left behind were half full
