Happy Halloween! Earlier this month, I began growing out a beard. I’m not sure about the exact start date, but I last remember shaving on Thursday, October the 13th.
By the time it became distinctly visible, my parents had questions. Over the dinner table, I described it to them as following Brad Pitt’s style (aka “circle beard”) and brother Chris’ fashion. My mom was highly disapproving, claiming that it made me look like a “bad guy.”
I did not let that statement (nor the constant nagging that followed) stop me. As of today, the beard remains. To be honest, there’s no real reason why I started this beard. However, it does come in handy. Shaving nowadays takes literally a minute or two, making it a lot easier to look well kept and groomed.
