After the TCHS event on 10/9, some of the A/V equipment was accidentally left running. To prevent future mistakes, Jason ShiBo asked for checklist app suggestions. He had found Process.St, but the cost of that paid service deterred him and he wanted something free.

I gave it some thought and came up with the following suggestion:

“One solution could be to use a shared Google Doc / Sheets. Have all the steps numbered out in the shared document. At the very top, have a counter field that’s editable. When A/V turns on the lights and equipment, the person doing so increases the counter and writes down the date. At the end of the day, when they turn off the equipment, they decrease the counter. When everything is off, mark the counter as ‘done’.”

As of today, no one in the chat has responded to my suggestion. I understand it is a little hacky, but Google Docs does have the advantage of being widespread; pretty much everyone I know has it installed on their phone.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
