Last weekend’s seizure attacks were troubling because they were so different from the norm. On both Saturday and Sunday, they occurred much earlier: ~1am vs ~5am. On Sunday, I had two seizures in one night, which has never happened before, at least to the best of my knowledge.

What did I do wrong? Hard to say. I did not have that much lower food blockage before going to bed. In fact, I barely had any regurgitation on Friday and Saturday. I did not drink much caffeine (61mg on Friday, none on Saturday). I did eat some FODMAPs, but not that many.

Without the usual suspects, it’s hard to determine what caused this round of seizures. My best guess is upper food blockage from earlier in the week; my parents think it was triggered by the sudden cold weather.

A (somewhat crazy) theory I came up with is that the second blanket my mom gave me could be at fault. Sleeping under two blankets might have made me too comfortable. Instead of waking up at the warning signs of discomfort, I slept through everything, allowing it to escalate into a seizure.
