Wednesday morning, I woke up at 7:30, put on my running gear and jogged over to Burger King for breakfast. The route I took was simple: go down Alderbrook, turn right onto Bollinger and keep running until it morphs into Moorpark. It totaled roughly 1.7mi and took me 22min to complete.
The main reason for visiting Burger King was to use the coupons mentioned in my 10/28/22 post. This time around, I went for the double Sausage Egg & Cheese Croissan’wich meal. The savings weren’t actually that great (aka $6.99 > $5.49), but it was a nice, hot meal much bigger than expected. (The calorie count given was 1040cal.)
Would I do the same run again? …I’d say yes. 1.7mi is a little short for a Timothy run nowadays, but I can tweak it with alternate routes (i.e. going down Johnson makes it 2.1mi). There ARE a lot of traffic lights in between, so I have to be careful with timing. The walk back took 10min longer than the Google Maps estimated 35min so I was out of the house for over 100min.
PS: Burger King is more stingy on drinks than I expected. There were no refills on my coffee and no unlimited fountain drinks stand.
