Judging from the earliest Yelp reviews, Teriyaki Madness near Westgate Saratoga opened at the start of 2023. It’s a bummer how Google Maps has no street view photos between Feb 2023 and Dec 2020 to confirm more precisely.
I stopped by on Tuesday and bought a regular size chicken teriyaki bowl w/fried rice for lunch. Even without soft drinks, the meal came out to ~$15, making it on the expensive side for fast food. Not to mention, my bowl took ages to come out. (13 minutes, if you want to be exact.)
Anyway, there are reasons why Teriyaki Madness has been able to survive next to Panda Express. First off, the size of the regular bowl was quite large. Miraculously, I was able to finish all the chicken pieces, but had to leave half the rice + veggies for later. The taste of the meal was also warm and fresh. My tastebuds were pleased with the sweet, onion-y taste of the rice.
To summarize, if you are a fan of sweet Mandarin cuisine, then Teriyaki Madness is for you. After all, orange chicken is another one of their menu options.
