Following my dad’s lead, I bought a black EPULY metal watch band for my Apple Watch. To make it the right size, I removed a total of five links.

I’ve been using it for 14 days. It’s not as heavy as I thought it would be. It’s also pretty easy to put on / take off. The biggest issue I have so far is that it feels looser compared to the standard Apple bands. This causes the Apple Watch to sit closer to my wrist. If I wear it while running, it flops around, resulting in more discomfort and fewer BPM measurements.

Anyway, I think I’m going to stick with the EPULY band for now. The black metal band does look more slick compared to the orange rubber. As for running, I always have my Garmin Fenix to fall back upon.

PS: (very) minor gripe = Apple charger dot needs to be lifted before charging.
