Due to some mess-ups + confusion, we got a deal on our new Google Wi-Fi routers.

The first package, a router + extender combo, came on October 26th. Dad had some trouble getting the Wi-Fi extender to work, so he ordered a pack of two Google Wi-Fi routers. A second order was needed no matter what, since three Wi-Fi access points are a requirement for our Alderbrook home: one in the garage, one in the living room, one in the master bedroom.

That second order arrived on the 30th. We opened the box to find another router + extender combo and not the two routers ordered. Over the phone, customer support apologized and told my dad it was their fault. He did not need to return the second package and a new shipment of two routers was promised to be on its way.

The third package arrived late on November 1st. Funny enough, it was yet another router + extender combo. However, by then my dad had gotten things working with the extender. Since the two router solution was no longer needed, we decided to keep the router + extender and let things be.

PS: in the end, we returned the first order (no need to keep so many routers sitting around the house right?), so our great deal was two for the price of one.
