First November Weekend of 2021, Part 2:

On Sunday, I watched a 10am showing of Eternals at the AMC Mercado 20 with Eric and Tony. (Yining was busy with other matters.) By the time the three hours were over, we were all quite hungry. Tony had brought along packs of cookies for everyone, but the tasty snacks were no competition for the movie’s length.

To meat (typo intended) our needs, we went to Boiling Point. Even though it was already 1:30pm, there was still a decent line at the personal hot pot place in North San Jose. Eric and Yining both got the “#1 House Special” centered around Taiwanese stinky tofu; I played it safe and went for the “#4 Beef.” Our meal came around 2:00pm.

The food was good, but when asked to compare against Tasty Pot, I kept mum. Being the fair food critic I am, I would need more visits in order to form a strong opinion. One thing I found cute though, was the free iced green tea that came along as a side.

By the time we finished eating and yapping, it was past 3:00pm. As Eric drove me back, he suggested walking around Central Park Santa Clara and I agreed to make a few loops. (We also briefly stopped by Memorial Park to determine whether the heavy late October rains filled up the troughs or not.)

While at Memorial Park, Eric received a call from his friend William inviting him to mini putt at the Golfland in Milpitas. I was invited to come, but I politely refused. By then it was already close to 5:00pm. Mini-golfing would take at least an hour and they were bound to do more stuff afterwards; due to my medical conditions acting up this week, I did not want to stay out too late that weekend.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
