Roughly a week ago, I started trying out a furry pajama top at night. Winter is coming and I want to be prepared. My brother and my mother’s pleased reactions to their new pink pajama tops that are similar in design definitely factored into my decision to choose this particular top over all the other ones in my closet.

This is not the first time I’ve tried out this top. While browsing through old Google Photos, I randomly came across shots of myself wearing it on 4/11/20 and 12/22/19. However, no blog posts at either time refer to the clothing so I can assume that it didn’t make much of an impact.

Before my first night wearing the top, my mom insisted on sewing the front together for warmth. (Personally I thought it unnecessary, but I let her go for it.) So far, I’ve been able to sleep fairly comfortably with the furry pajama top. It definitely is warmer than my old green fleece top. It’s warm enough that hugging a pillow is no longer necessary but I’m considering switching back.

My biggest woe is that the hoodie of the furry pajama top gets in the way of my Korean buckwheat pillow. The extra cloth builds up against the hard surface and possibly angles the neck the wrong way. For someone with neck problems, that is a particular concern. I thought about cutting off the hoodie, but my mom ruled out that approach. The furry pajama top is her precious creation and she does not want it to be harmed in any way.

Anyway, I’ll continue to try out both shirts. If I remember correctly, there were other methods of warming up the old green fleece; wearing a 32Degrees as an undershirt is the first that comes to mind. Worst comes to worst, it could be an excuse to buy an early Christmas present for myself.
