On Thursday, we had a Lynbrook math club reunion at Liuyishou. Attending were Patricia, Joseph, Powell and Can. I organized this luncheon; after all, I was the one who individually ran into all the kids around town.
The original plan was to meet at 11:30am, but things got somewhat delayed. Powell and Can would join later at 12:25pm. Joseph, Patricia and I started off our lunch at 11:57am with a double-flavor split pot filled with “Mildy Spicy” and “Pork Bone” soup bases. We also got a platter of Liu’s Beef & Lamb meat and a few other tofus and vegetables.
It was the first time eating Liuyishou for all of us. The spicy soup base, despite being marked “Mild”, was too much for Joseph and Patricia. (It was on the spicier side, but I had no problem handling it.) The platter of meat was big, but we normally would’ve needed another to feed five.
Everyone else had work stuff to attend to, so the lunch ended around 1:30pm. All in all, the math geeks were glad to see each other after all these years. As we were leaving, there was talk of getting together for Smash Melee later this month.
