On a routine walk to Trader Joe’s to pick up milk for my parents last Wednesday, I ran into longtime family friend Terrie C. She offered to give me a ride home; I graciously refused. (After all, the point of walking there was to get in my steps.) The two of us took a selfie which I forwarded to my parents.

I thought that was that, until I got home.

My mom laughed at the selfie, but refused to 100% believe the lady I ran into was Terrie. The face mask covering made her harder to distinguish; Mom came up with the notion that another one of her friends, Tracie, was involved.

We had a fair amount of back and forth. I stood strong by my statement, reasoning that Terrie would be more likely to offer me a ride since she has known me since I was a kid.

Anyhow, while I was watching the CBS special on “The Greatest Super Bowl Commercials,” the answer finally became clear. Terrie called my mom via LINE at 8:12pm. The two old ladies chatted and bantered for a bit before Terrie confirmed that she was indeed the woman in the picture.

PS: Terrie had also stopped by Trader Joe’s to buy milk.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
