Recently I stumbled upon my 12/6/21 blog post about testing my Salomon Odyssey Pro’s. In that post, I detailed how men’s size 9.5 was too big and how 9 would’ve been a more attractive option.
Re-reading that post reminded me of one thing: the 9.5 Odyssey Pro’s felt better after a few weeks outdoors. From what I remember, parts of the shoe wore off or molded to fit better. Combined with extra tight laces, those Salomons became an awesome fit.
As the saying goes: “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”; the unsuccessful tweaking of the size of my various Skechers shows that really is the case.
Anyhow, that post made me more weary about my size downgrade (women’s 10.5 Sense Ride 4’s are almost exactly the same size as men’s 9.5 Odyssey Pro’s), but so far things look good. The last couple of days, I’ve worn the Sense Ride 4’s on and off around the house; as far as I can tell, they fit well. The true test will come when I retire the Odyssey Pro’s, but that won’t be anytime soon.
