On the spur of the moment, I joined the Energy Bagua meditation today. When I got to Calabazas Park this morning, there were five older Asian ladies walking around the tree; to my surprise, the oldest of the bunch actually remembered me well. She told the others that I used to join her for the 8:30am meditation, that my shoulder was injured and that I was fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
The meditation experience was nice, but I probably won’t be joining Energy Bagua too often; an hour and a half of morning time is a lot to ask for even when you’re working from home. Not to mention, their weekday schedules have changed. Instead of 7am and 8:30am, the two sessions are now at 6am and 7am, both of which are a little early.
