During the President’s Day holiday, my family went to my Aunt Pat Wang’s Woodside Commons condo to help with furniture installation. Aunt Wang was busy at work, but her retired parents Mei-Hsiang and Bruce (aka my Great-Aunt and Great-Uncle) were there to greet us when we arrived at 11am.

Great-Aunt cooked us a big Taiwanese lunch with items like sticky oil rice, sesame onion buns, and mantou + egg. Afterwards the older ladies socialized over tea while the gentlemen worked on installing the TV mount in the living room.

We were there until 4:30pm.

There were no other kids my age to play with, so I found solo ways to pass the time: jogging loops in the parking garage, reading Kindle, napping on the sofa, watching YouTube, sketching a portrait of Great-Uncle, trying out Aunt Wang’s new Yamaha electric piano, and playing Freecell + Spider Solitaire. As you can tell, my iPad Pro and the items lying around the condo managed to cover most of my hobbies.

All in all, the visit was a chill way to spend a day off.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
