Gastroparesis was a good find. The 1/30/23 Stanford gastric emptying study shows that I don’t suffer from it, but applying its treatment options has helped for the most part. One thing to note is that limiting fiber may cause the same problem as fasting: existing food that is stuck has nothing to push it down, resulting in massive fatigue.

Once fiber goes down, it is generally fine. With those two findings in mind, I’m going to allow myself more fiber in the mornings (“hello again, Mr Solid Food / CLIF bar!”). As the day drags on and my throat / esophagus passageway gets more and more clogged, I’ll go for foods with less and less fiber (“sorry, Dinner Mustard Greens, you are still unwelcome in Tim’s tummy!”).

The existing blockage problem is a damn tough one to solve. Currently, I find that overeating breakfast and then regurgitating it all out is the most reliable solution. However, that solution is messy and honestly kind of disgusting. Hopefully I’ll be able to find something cleaner.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
