Monday morning, I set off on a quest to purchase Noah’s bagels for the Kang family. The journey started at 7:15am and took 85min total. VTA Bus 56 took me almost directly to my destination; barely any walking was involved. According to my iPhone, I took a total of 2,424 steps there and back.

At Noah’s, I unexpectedly came upon their $9 Mondays deal. With that deal, the price of a dozen bagels + 1 bonus + 2 cream cheese shmears dropped from $17.49 > $13. That’s basically the same price as Safeway (aka what my dad deems as low quality trash): $1 per bagel. Or perhaps even cheaper, considering the cream cheese is included.

Anyhow, the trip was a nice way to start the week. The bus fare home was waived thanks to VTA’s 2hr free transfer policy. Riding public transport also reminded me how close Westgate Mall is by bus. On the days I lack work, bussing to Westgate and exploring the shops / food could be a nice way to kill time. (The bus runs every 30min starting from ~6am, so fitting a ride into my schedule shouldn’t be difficult.)

PS: the friendly barista at Peet’s recommended Noah’s farmhouse breakfast sandwich

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
