Mom was excited when she saw that one of the girls selling Le Creuset dutch ovens on Facebook Marketplace was friends with my brother Chris and resided in Cupertino. When she showed me the seller KC, I noticed that she could very well be EL’s girlfriend whom I had met on Saturday at Jonny’s going away party.
That would make total sense considering that KC grew up in the area and went to Lynbrook. It would also explain why Chris was an acquaintance; KC and her siblings (i.e. VC) are all big badminton players as well.
However, it turns out that was not the case. A closer look at her profile showed that this particular KC went to Harker and graduated in 2009; EL’s KC graduated from Lynbrook in 2005.
Chris was unable to recall how he knew this KC, leaving things up in the air. If I had to wager a guess, I’d say it was also through badminton. (For the record, my mom is still iffy about purchasing things off the Facebook Marketplace, so she ended up skipping out on that offer.)
