On the Sunday of Daylight Savings, I got out of bed at 7:14am feeling energized. I didn’t actually sleep that long (AutoSleep shows 7h41m), but I was 100% ready to start my day. Perhaps this was due to the fact that I went to bed at 10pm not feeling tired at all; I could’ve easily stayed up for another hour or two, but I dimmed the lights nonetheless in order to keep my routine.

When I ventured out, I caught my dad watching a dance comedy on his iPad. He agreed to cook me an avocado egg sandwich, which I paired with a Kirkland protein bar and a 16oz Monster Energy drink. (Normally I don’t go so strong in terms of caffeine; I bought the Monster only because we are losing an hour of sleep.)

The day itself went okay. Velu’s wife Sindhu had to bail on our movie hangout due to a last minute production issue at Fiserv. We searched around for candidates (i.e. Aravind, Eric, Tony’s sister) to take her $13 ticket to the Matt Reeves reboot of Batman, but no one was available; it ended up being just Velu, Tony and I at the AMC Mercado 20 at 10am.

After the film (which both Tony and Velu enjoyed a lot), we grabbed burgers at the In-N-Out and then shopped around the Santa Clara Mercado plaza for a bit. Tony bought dog food at the Walmart & donuts at the Krispy Kreme; I bought a bottle of Flonase at the Walmart. At 3pm, we finally called it a day and went our separate ways.

PS: gave Velu a red Le Creuset dutch oven as a wedding gift; was sure to remind him not to use metal utensils on his fancy new kitchenware.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
