It sucks, but one of my favorite pastries may be more dangerous than I previously assumed. Each 85C Boroh Cream Danish bun is a ton of bread + carbs, meaning it takes time for my body to process. (The added sugar comes in at 6g, so that’s not too bad.) If I eat one for breakfast, I would be well-advised to skip my regular morning banana, eggs and cheese. Failure to do so may result in food blockages.

Speaking of potentially harmful foods, recently I have come across a few others as well. Green powder is a dietary supplement suggested by my brother Chris. The Amazing Grass Greens Blend that I’ve been taking does not dissolve well in water. Often, I find chunks of powder at the bottom of the cup. I remember a similar issue coming up with Orgain Plant Protein Powder. That made the Orgain difficult to swallow; Amazing Grass could be the same.

The huge bag of Halls menthol cough drops was purchased from Safeway. My plan was to use them while I waited for my Ricola cough drops to ship from Amazon. I can’t say for certain, but it feels like sucking on a Halls drop leaves some sticky residue on the top of my throat.

Finally, chia seeds. I bought a big bag from Costco when I went there with my dad earlier in the month. These seeds are famous for expanding when soaked in water or milk. Unfortunately, for me, that may not be a positive. I can imagine the half-expanded seeds cluttering up the throat and making it harder for things to pass.

Of course, all of these fears may be unfounded. Nevertheless, I’m still going to be careful.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
