Following my friend Justin Zhou’s recommendation, I gave Super Chix a shot last Friday. After helping out with Tzu Chi / West Valley Community food bank donations at Creekside Farmers’ Market, I bussed over to the Super Chix on Prospect.

This fast-food joint took over what used to be a FedEx copy center next to the Trader Joe’s. I went for their Deluxe Sandwich with a fried chicken fillet (the other available option was grilled). The sandwich came with Kosher pickles, garlic aioli, lettuce and tomato and was prepared in <5min.

What makes Super Chix more special is its wide variety of tasty sauces. For my trial run, I doused my sandwich with their Signature and Korean BBQ sauces. Doing so might have caused it to fall apart (the construction wasn’t all that strong to begin with), but it was worth it.

Overall, I enjoyed my meal but compared to other fast-food joints, it is a little pricey. With a $3 soda as a side, my meal cost $15. Just the other day, Popeye’s sent a flyer with a bunch of deals; the closest is a “Chicken Sandwich, Reg Side & Drink” for $8; essentially that’s half the cost.

PS: Super Chix’s grilled chicken options, fried avocado fillet, and Nashville Hot sauce look interesting

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
