My final visit to Peak Physical Therapy was at 10am on Wednesday, April 6th. (They no longer accept my Cigna insurance.) The routine I went through that day with my therapist Spencer Dong wasn’t all that different from the usual. However, Spencer did take time to discuss possible next steps.

We decided that the best way forward was for me to keep doing the physical therapy exercises on my own. Even after going out of network, I should still have access to their StriveHub listing (aka an online site with videos demonstrating each exercise / stretch), making things simpler.

One thing Spencer cautioned is that I should look for a in-network PT to call in case things worsened. I checked Cigna’s website and found that the number of PT clinics that support Cigna has dwindled. Thankfully, there are still a few that are within walking distance (i.e. Cupertino PT, next to Happy Donuts).

Looking back, I liked my time at Peak and am sad to go. Everyone there I came in contact with was friendly and nice. Best of luck to them in their future endevours!

On a related note, I’ve figured out ways to deal with the weak joints / muscle soreness that has plagued me since late March. For my legs, the fix is to switch away from the hole-y Skechers and walk less in sandals. For my shoulders, I realized that my ComfortFit Curved was to blame. Even though I start the night with my shoulders off the pillow, over time they drift; the fix would be to sleep with a straight edge pillow and to do shoulder exercises.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
