I noticed that Mom’s BOGO coupon for The Counter expires on Friday the 31st. Not wanting it to go to waste, I invited Chris out for lunch that very same Friday. The two of us had gone to The Counter several times in the past so the little rascal accepted without blinking an eye, though he did drag a little when our designated 11:30am meet time came.
The meal went fine. In addition to our burgers (“Old School” and “Bacon BBQ”), Chris got a side of tater tots and I treated myself to a fountain Coke. After the meal, we had a bit of brother bonding time by walking to Safeway to pick up alcohol for Chris and driving to CVS to pick up medicine for Mom
PS: to be fair, Chris did seem to prefer the In-N-Out burgers he had the day prior, partly due to price.
