My Tofu Plus meal of Sunday 5/15 caused excessive mucus clogging and stomach bloating. The recovery from that mistake has been long and winding. Several times on my journey, I allowed myself minor cheat items (i.e. Reese’s cup minis, Sizzling Lunch Udon Salmon, Spicy Popcorn Chicken, Goli gummies) only to find myself back at the start.

On Wednesday 5/25 I seemed to make progress. There was not much food in my stomach and I looked slim before meals. However, the bloating continued to happen, even with tiny amounts of food. And my BPM continued to be unnaturally low during workouts.

In the back of my mind, I came up with the crazy theory that Mucinex was to blame. It is possible that Mucinex makes cardio exercise less effective at recovery because it prevents the regurgitation of the liquids (aka what clears the mucus clogging). Desperate for success, I decided to try skipping Mucinex for a few days.
