Tucked away in a run-down neighborhood near the Google Cloud campus in Sunnyvale, Lados is a restaurant specializing in Pakistani-style American food. Their most famous dish is the Zinger Burger, a fried chicken sandwich.
I visited Lados on Tuesday to try the Zinger Burger. The crispy bread coating and tender chicken made for an exceptional flavor experience. However, the large portion and soft meat made the burger difficult to hold, and I had to finish it with a fork, discarding half the buns.
Lados serves their fries in large chunks, a departure from traditional thin strips. While well-cooked, their size made them hard to finish. Many diners around me, mostly Sunnyvale tech engineers, also struggled with their fries and resorted to forks for their burgers.
Despite these minor issues, Lados offers robust flavors and generous portions. I’d say the dining experience was not too shabby (grade: B+). If you’re in Sunnyvale, Lados is worth a visit — just be prepared to use a fork!
