My leg muscles have not healed completely, but they are much better now. Starting 5/27, walking began making me feel super tired. Even greatly shortened routes (for example, to the Bollinger Safeway and back) necessitated long naps. The fatigue from walking also caused an increased likelihood of daytime CPS attacks. (It could be why I was slightly out of it during the 6/4 dinner date with Cheryl + her mother.)

To expedite the healing, I temporarily stopped running both outdoors and on my Precor elliptical. On 6/7, I started outdoor running again with my usual 2-mile Calabazas route. On 6/9 I ran Calabazas a second time.

I half-expected to walk more than 50% of the route, but that was not the case. On both runs, I looped around the park just fine; it was not until halfway down Danbury (aka my usual spot parallel to Belvedere) that I needed a short walking breather. Despite my success with the outdoor runs, I continued avoiding the elliptical; this was done as a precaution because the machine works the same thigh muscles as walking.

As for next steps, I will stick solely to outdoor runs for now. (Better safe than sorry!) Once my legs feel completely healed, I will carefully introduce the Precor back into my routine.

PS: tried a 7am morning run on 6/11; ended up taking many many naps that day, but that could be due to other factors (lack of caffeine, “Position 2”, etc.)

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
