My $15 handheld steam inhaler (aka “Nebulizer N3 Home Inhaler”) from Ali Express arrived on the 7th. I was rather excited for this new toy because I thought it would let me test out hot steam. To my dismay, I soon discovered that the Nebulizer was another cool mist humidifier like my Levoit.

The size is smaller than I expected, but the small water chamber holds more than enough for a 20min session. It depends on either a USB-A port or a pair of AA batteries. So far, I’ve been relying completely on the USB. The hole in which the mist comes out can be covered with a mouthpiece or a face mask. I started off using the mask provided, but have found that the Nebulizer works fine without either.

Due to my shoulder problems, holding up the Nebulizer for long periods of time is uncomfortable. This is worsened by the fact that you have to hold it straight; tilting it too far back seems to cause functional issues. Anyhow, the Nebulizer should come in handy once I return to the office; until then, I shall rely on Levoit to handle most tasks.
