On June 7th, my brother Chris converted back to a 4-legged chair from a computer swivel. A few days earlier, I had done the same, in order to possibly give my shoulders a break.

It’s indeterminate whether the 4-legged chair really soothes my shoulders, but it is comfortable enough that I’m sticking with it. With a seat cushion + a back pillow, I’d say the 4-legged chair feels quite similar to the setup I have at the dining table.

What made me hesitant about switching in the past is the fact that my computer chair does not work well with my door pulley. (Long story short, the chair I’m not using at my desk will be used for pulley stretching.) Luckily, this time around I was able find a workaround with a Samsonite back cushion, allowing me to sit up straighter in the computer swivel when pulling.

All the other disadvantages of the 4-legged are minor. It can be squeaky at times and the lack of wheels can make it harder to move. Overall, the 4-legged feels nice enough that I find myself doing more bedtime reading at my computer desk (instead of my usual spot at the dining table + iPad).

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
