Patrick T’s son Jasper had his first ever birthday party at the Leo J. Ryan Park on Saturday. Besides relatives, most of the people attending the event could be categorized into three groups: Patrick Berkeley friends, Patrick Lynbrook friends, and Diane friends.

The food served was Hawaiian BBQ. It was tasty, but I probably allowed myself too much oily meat. (Later, I did my best to remedy my error with hot water regurgitation and a long walk.) The cake was super sweet, but I gulped it down mercilessly. There was no Coke or Sprite, but plenty of Kirkland Sparkling Water. Everyone (including myself) binged on multiple cans.

Anyway, it was nice hanging out with friends for four hours. Jasper’s birthday party gave me the idea that Leo J. Ryan could be used for future summer outings. That Foster City park is far from Cupertino, but it is big and scenic. It is also next to a large lake, where many people were renting boats. As we were leaving, I brought up the idea of kayaking together; the others agreed it could be a very real possibility.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
