When I have lots of stomach gas, many of my pants become too tight. Wearing tight clothing is not only uncomfortable, but it also prevents the gas from dissipating, in turn making me feel a lot more lethargic. The extra stretch also seems to make the middle of my thighs feel hot and sore.

Unfortunately, the number of loose-fitting shorts I have is limited. Even if I wear each pair for two days, I do not have enough to last an entire week. (If left unbuttoned, my Merona khakis fit somewhat, but that’s a hacky solution best not used in public.) With that in mind, I decided to invest in a new pair of cargo shorts off Amazon.

I swapped in several pairs of Unionbay before finding one that fit: 32 Messenger > 32 Survivor > 34 Survivor. The reason size was so hard to pinpoint was due to the bloating. Traditional waist measurements point to 30 to 32 being the correct size for me. (I mean, 34 was my size when I was ~180lb.) Unfortunately, when I’m gassy, 32’s are way too tight. The 34’s sag regardless of my stomach condition, but stay up with the help of a belt.

Anyway, I can say that the new cargo shorts were a good buy. My legs feel a lot more comfortable and my gas is a lot more controlled.
