Reaching my goal of 2000 calories is difficult when I’m eating a soft foods / bland diet. Anyway, here are some of the items I regularly eat each day:

Yogurt — 140cal
Protein Powder — 180cal
Collagen Powder — 70cal
Banana — 110cal
Orange Juice — 160cal
Cereal w/Milk — 200cal
Salad w/Dressing — 240cal
CLIF bar — 260cal
Godiva dark chocolate — 45cal
Applesauce — 60cal
Oatmeal — 160cal

The first four are musts. Combined, they add up to 500cal. Breakfast tends to be 300cal; brunch defaults to 240cal salad; dinner defaults to 200cal cereal. With 200cal of snacks, that leaves 560cal for lunch, the big meal of the day.

That number shouldn’t be too difficult to meet, especially if I throw in fruit juice or soda as a side. (For reference, a Big Mac is 563cal, a 85C Boroh Danish is 540cal and a Subway 6” Veggie Patty sandwich has 471cal.) The best part about following this regimen is that my food intake is much more controlled, making easier to figure out what to avoid. (At the moment, cereals are looking iffy.)

Anyway, even with a soft foods / bland diet I still encounter food blockage. After my last meal of the day, taking a long walk (and/or sipping hot water) and regurgitating as needed is still necessary. However, I’ve noticed that the food blockage is not as strong as before; regurgitating out the pieces is definitely easier, giving me hope that I’m on the right path.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
