After seeing a flurry of advertisements on Facebook, I gave the new Crumbl cookie shop at Westgate Saratoga a try. Out of all the cookies, I went for the Snickerdoodle Cupcake. Judging from its size, I suppose a single cookie is meant for a family of four. Greedily, I ate the whole thing on my own, alongside a Diet Coke and a bowl of Panda Express fried rice + orange chicken. (800cal + 520cal + 490cal = 1910cal.)
At first, it looked like I survived all those violations of my diet (aka low histamines, low sugar, no caffeine, no soda) with little consequences. I assumed it was because I ate very little sugar in my other meals and walked a lot. At 64g of sugar per Snickerdoodle, the Crumbl isn’t actually that much; for comparison, a bottle of Mountain Dew 20oz has 77g.
However, that was not the case. A huge rush of gas near the end of the day proved me wrong. My new nightgown helped mitigate the rush slightly, but not enough. By the time I went to bed, it felt painful to regurgitate. Lesson learned: stay away from sugar for now.
