For Friday lunch, I met up with Tzu Chi masters Jason and Richard. Jason organized the meal as a way for me to see Richard in person; after all, he is one of my advisors for the Tzu Chi certification program.
Richard was the one who chose Tasty Pot (on De Anza) as the place for food. Originally he suggested Taiwan Porridge (on Homestead), but Jason wanted somewhere closer. With my current dietary restrictions, I can’t really eat out, but I decided to allow Tasty Pot a try.
My plan was to eat restrictively and bring a lot of pot home. My body had been acting up, so I went for the safe option: “healthy veggie” soup. (The others chose the same, for Buddhist reasons.) Come to think of it, the “healthy veggie” soup was surprisingly fit for my diet. I did not have to leave out much and without the rice, I had no trouble finishing the food.
