At 4pm on Wednesday, Dr Shin’s office gleefully called to announce the results of radiology. The UGI showed nothing wrong. Instead of feeling happy, I felt slightly dismayed that I would continue to live on with no answers. That was especially true due to Monday’s blockage, which triggered reminiscence of the latter half of May 2022.

May 15th was when I clogged my throat after a night out at Tofu Plus and spent the rest of the month trying to unclog it. Reviewing my posts from that time, I found no clear cut way of how I ended my misery (weak legs, CPS episodes / confusion, trouble eating, stomach bloating, poor memory, etc). Monday’s symptoms were very similar; my attempts to unclog were fairly futile.

What caused the blockage? My best guess is the kidney beans in the rajma masala I had on Sunday combined with the thick barium liquid they had me drink at Valley Radiology.

Weirdly enough, Monday’s clogging made me feel super energized. Even though my muscles were dead tired, my mind was still hyper alert. It felt similar to overdosing on caffeine.

By the time I went to bed, my heart was still pounding at 95bpm. (My sedentary average was 83bpm.) To induce sleep, I played Energy Bagua buddhist chanting for an hour and then switched over to white noise. I also changed up my setup: bed head raised, head wearing U-pillow, hugging Posturepedic pillow. Thankfully, those changes worked. Somehow, I was able to get 7h45m of decent sleep.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
