Before long, I became accustomed to the Bathwa kneeling chair. The minor troubles mentioned in the 9/14/22 post no longer bothered me; soon, I was able to last entire days on the Bathwa.

It’s true that sitting on the Bathwa did not help with food digestion as much as standing, but it did have many other benefits. In addition to improving my neck posture, it also helped with strengthening my left shoulder. Plus, it eliminated the problem of unnecessary chair height putting stress on my thighs.

Three chairs inside a small bedroom might seem crowded, but that was not the case. The Bathwa was easy to stash underneath my desk, putting it completely out of the way for those rare instances where I took a break on my swivel computer chair.

The biggest issue I noticed was that the leg position of the Bathwa put extra pressure on my knee caps. This pressure caused them to feel slightly shifted at times. Anyhow, I was not concerned; during daily outdoor activities (i.e. walking or running) my knees felt fine. In fact, they survived through that crazy Friday where I took two runs for a total of 66min.

The other notable issue I faced was pressure on the lower back spine. This would gradually build up over the course of the day. By the evening it was still manageable, but it made sitting on the sofa (or the park bench or the backyard lawn chair) really comfortable.

As September 27th approaches, my final decision has become clear. I’m keeping the big sucker.
