All my previous attempts at low FODMAP failed (earliest = Sept 2021) and I know why.

One of the biggest reasons is because I expected gassy symptoms to show up right away. That was not always the case. In my situation, many high FODMAP foods go down fine; the gas attacks don’t occur until later in the evening (or the middle of the night). That made me misjudge the danger of many items and allow them too freely.

I also didn’t take it seriously enough. I did indeed regularly look up foods with Monash, but I was too lenient. Instead of eating my regular diet and cutting out the foods I saw were harmful, I should’ve assumed everything was bad and started from scratch.

Finally, when trying out low FODMAP, I had several untreated symptoms. At the time, I didn’t know they were caused by other problems. These symptoms prevailing despite following low FODMAP made me question its efficiency.

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
