Tuesday night, my dad suddenly grew tired. By 7:45pm, he was dead asleep in the master bedroom. Taking evening naps is a normal occurrence for the old man (who often stays up until midnight washing the dishes), but something felt off this time. My mom was worried that he had gotten sick and toyed around with the possibility of COVID-19. To be safe, she even considered spending the night in the kitchen.

By the time I woke up on Wednesday 8am, things had somehow worked out. Dad was up and about preparing for a morning bike trip and Mom was asleep in the master bedroom. Before leaving for his ride, he admitted to feeling extra hazy & sleepy Tuesday night. However, he would not decipher the exact details for my innocent little ears to hear.

Come Wednesday evening, Dad was still tired. He was sleeping as I was watching the 7pm CBS local news. Anyway, my best guess is that the record-breaking heat wave (September 1st to 8th, 108°F high) in West San Jose was involved. The others in the Kang family also felt more tired than usual. Even before 9pm, Mom was already talking about going to bed.

PS: AFAIK, Dad underwent no treatment other than getting his arms hit-massaged by Mom

Hi everybody. I like food, Broadway showtunes, Pokemon and LEGOs. Oh, and I also do a bit of programming occasionally.
