Back in downtown Portland around 2 PM, we decided to refuel with some Sri Lankan food at Mirisata. After our hourlong spicy lunch, we returned to the hotel to shower and get ready for the wedding.
We drove over to the Airbnb to gather before the wedding ceremony at the Nordic Northwest (aka a Portland cultural center best known for its giant Scandinavian troll sculpture). Audry had reserved the entire center for the night, providing an exclusive setting for the celebrations. The ceremony started at 5:15 PM and was nice & brief. One of the highlights was Audry’s brother Jim’s 4-year-old son Camden adorably presenting the ring.
Following the ceremony, we enjoyed a cocktail hour before dinner. The meal, catered by Nordic Northwest, featured beef, broccolini, impossible meat, bread and potato salad among other things. Wedding commencement speeches began about an hour into dinner and wrapped up by 8:30 PM. Once the speeches finished, the dance floor opened up.
My brother, my dad, and I spent some time socializing (and dancing) with others before leaving at 10 PM. Congrats to Audry and Chris!
